Welcome to Theydon Bois Golf Club
Nestled in the heart of Epping Forest, Essex, Theydon Bois Golf Club provides for its members and their guests, a spectacular and ever-changing natural environment in which to play golf. The course is truly unique, with 9 of the fairways being narrowly sculptured out of the ancient forest, pleasantly contrasting with 9 wider and winding fairways. Subtly borrowed greens are guarded by strategically placed bunkers, all of which make this par 69 course a real challenge for all standards of player.
Over the years the club has acquired a well-earned reputation for being both friendly and welcoming. This culture is fully inclusive and the club prides itself on the diversity of its membership, which includes a very strong ladies section, a well-organized team of veterans and excellent opportunities for junior members.
The friendly atmosphere within the club, coupled with regular weekly events, makes integration a pleasant experience for new members.
The clubhouse is well appointed with views over the golf course and includes a comfortable lounge and dining room both of which are serviced by the clubs resident chef and bar staff. The clubhouse is is available for hire for private functions.
Theydon Bois Golf Club has a well appointed Pro Shop offering a good range of golf equipment, as well as tuition and repair services.
Visitors are welcome to play on most days and societies are welcome on certain weekdays only. Please contact the club for further details.
The course also sports a practice ground, with a covered bay, and a putting green to tune your game before your round.
At its opening in 1898, Theydon Bois Golf Course was described as "one of the prettiest and most peaceful spots within many miles of London" More than a century on very little has changed, the course remains highly cultivated and continues to be maintained to the highest standards.
